National is investing more than ever in Auckland transport. This includes $1.6 billion for the electrification of the rail network, and new electric trains and stations. We’re on track to open the $340 million Victoria Park Tunnel ahead of schedule which will help get cars off our central city roads.
You may be following discussions around the CBD rail link and my call for a feasibility study into a tram loop for the Western Bays. I am working with the Auckland Council to help progress both these projects.
