On the 8th of May BNZ will be closing is stores and offices for one day so that its staff can get out in the community. Last year ‘Closed for Good’ saw more than 3,000 BNZ staff members working on over 500 projects around New Zealand- everything from assisting with strategic planning and marketing to painting schools and helping out at kindergartens.
This year BNZ will be expanding its initiative and welcomes members of the community to volunteer alongside BNZ staff.
BNZ is now calling for submissions from community groups for projects that need doing around the community. All you need to do is submit the project online at www.closedforgood.org before 16 March.
This is a great initiative that I would encourage community groups and individuals to get behind
