I am delighted to have recently been appointed as chairperson of the Education and Science Select Committee.

This role will give me a greater policy and parliamentary workload. However, the role gives me a really exciting opportunity to help make real changes in both the education and science sectors.

This is a big job, but one that I’m proud to be given the opportunity. I look forward to working with some talented people on a range of issues this year.

I look forward to the challenge the role of chair offers, and as always, working hard for the people of Auckland Central.
